Find your way around, download a map, and save your first waypoint.
The map
- Map controls and gestures
Use the bottom bar, inspect a spot, and center the map on your location.
- Find a place or coordinate
Search place names, paste coordinates, and find items you saved.
- Maps and layers
Choose Topo, Satellite, or Hybrid, then use the slope, ownership, and cell coverage overlays.
- Data coverage
Available areas, offline layers, sources, and dates.
- Ownership coverage
Check parcel boundaries and owner information by state and county.
- Cell Coverage
Choose a carrier, read its reported coverage, and compare service at a spot.
- Private land
Read parcel boundaries and access labels, and see why a person's parcel shows an address rather than a name.

Check a layer’s source, date, and level of detail.

- Record a track
Start, pause, and save a recording, or use the controls on Apple Watch.
- Draw and edit a route
Place points, follow trails, and check the elevation profile.

Copy a message into Glassing, find the spot, and send a location back.
