Campfire and fire-use rules for this area, with each localized order the land manager has published.
Campfires only in developed sites.
Developed sitesForest Order 05-12-00-26-05 (June 9 to November 30, 2026) prohibits building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire, or charcoal fire except in a Forest Service-provided campfire ring or BBQ within the areas listed in Exhibit A (campgrounds and picnic areas). Status is partial because this unstaged forest-wide order allows campfires only in named developed sites. Persons with a valid California Campfire Permit are not exempt from the fire prohibition but may use a portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern that burns gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum or pressurized liquid fuel with a shut-off valve.
